John & Anne Copeland’s enthusiasm for Russian River Pinot Noir and their extensive business experience are necessary for the quixotic crusade to make the finest Pinot Noir coming from Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.

“In 2002 I started this never-ending quest to make the finest Pinot Noir,” states John. “We are developing our wine estate on Westside Road to blend with the rural environment and to maximize the potential of this Russian River Valley grape-growing and winemaking site.”

John’s family history has inspired the winery’s label and the proprietary name of the Arista’s Winemaker’s Selection: Longbow Pinot Noir. Britain’s King Edward III knighted Sir John Copeland in 1346, honoring his prowess with the longbow.
